An Open Letter to My Mom

Dear Mom,

I am so thankful for all that you are because you have shaped me into who I am today. You're beautiful both inside and out. Your eyes and your smile have the ability to light up anyone's day. You're warm, glowing, and happy- so much so that it's contagious.

Without you, I would be nothing. You have guided me through life and I feel confident in saying that I wouldn't be sitting here doing what I am today without all that you've sacrificed for me. You have helped make my dreams into a reality and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Thank you for always believing in me, for never giving up on me, and for always sticking by my side when times get tough. I know that I can be difficult but we have been through everything together. I can honestly say that you are my best friend. You're kind, selfless, compassionate, and you love me unconditionally. I can only hope to be half of the mother that you are.

I don't know how you manage to do all that you do, but somehow you pull it off. You put everyone's needs and wants before your own. You are so true and genuine, not to mention strong. You are truly the strongest woman I know and I am sure that I got that characteristic from you. No matter what hardship you face, you always manage to maintain your smile.

All of these things make you, you and I wouldn't change a single thing about you. I am so happy that I get to call you my Mom.
