Do The Heat Have The Seeds To Be The League's Next Superteam?

The Miami Heat have title aspirations once more this NBA season. They added key pieces in the offseason and drafted promising young star, Precious Achiuwa.

But does Miami currently have the pieces to create a budding superteam? Some would say that they do.

Most notable of their young core is Bam Adebayo. Bam was drafted 14th overall by the Miami Heat in the 2017 Draft. Since then, Adebayo has blossomed into a certified All-Star and the first option in a given night to score the ball. Adebayo averaged 15.9 points in the 2019-2020 NBA season.

Another key addition was the drafting of Tyler Herro, 13th overall in the 2019 Draft. Herro showed a lot of promise, especially when he scored 37 points in a crucial playoff game against the Boston Celtics. Herro overall averaged 13.5 points in the 2019-2020 NBA season.

Of course, there is the Heat's most recent draft pick in Precious Achiuwa from Nigeria. Achiuwa was drafted 20th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.

This Miami Heat team has shown a lot of promise, especially in regards to their young core. This is coupled with the presence of key veteran players, such as Goran Dragic, Andre Iguodala, Avery Bradley, and of course, Jimmy Butler.

Jimmy Butler has more than proven himself to be a key piece of this team since his signing in the 2019 NBA Offseason. Butler promised the team and the Miami Heat fans as a whole that he would bring them a championship. Of course, the Miami Heat did not win the 2020 NBA Championship. However, Butler helped to bring a Miami Heat team that many people did not think would make the playoffs or if not would be a second-round exit to the NBA Finals for a chance at a championship.

There is also a lot of promise in regards to the team's perimeter shooting. This is focusing on Duncan Robinson. Robinson went undrafted and was subsequently picked up by the Miami Heat. Since then, he has proven himself to be one of the premier perimeter shooters in the league. Robinson averaged 13.5 points in the 2019-2020 season.

This is all coupled with talks that the Heat might trade for James Harden, who seemingly has become disillusioned by the Houston Rockets. The addition of Harden will definitely put the Heat as even more of a contender to come out of the East and compete for an NBA Championship

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
