Have you ever read the novel, The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom? Well, if not... I highly recommend it because it is an eye-opening experience. Don't you ever wonder what it would be like when you reach Heaven or Hell? Can you imagine the kind of people that you will come across?
How do you feel about the people you have or had in your life? Did they mean anything to you? Did they serve a significant purpose at one point in your life? All these questions lead up to why there a certain people in our lives that come and go. It also makes us wonder in what way did these people impact you. There are five types of people that came across my life that I'd like to share that maybe I might meet in Heaven one day.
1. My Best Friend
I know for a fact that my maid of honor is going to be my best friend, Angel. She is one of the most important human beings in my life. I rely on her for the most crucial parts of my life and the smallest things in life. And I know she would be there for me whenever I need her.
2. My Teacher(s)
Some of us don't know where to find the support that we need and I am able to find that within my educators. I can go down the list of all the teachers that impact me in some type of way. But I am more than grateful to have them in my life.
3. My Celebrity Role Model
You may or may not have met this person, but I know for sure that this person has influenced you beyond what you can imagine. They can influence your life choice, boost your passions and dreams, your appearance and become more open-minded. And for me, that person would be Gillian Anderson from The X-Files series.
4. My Godmother
My Godmother had one big influence on my college career, which was to go through sorority recruitment. Without her, I wouldn't have found my "home away from home" and opportunities that will take me far in life. Much love to her.
5. Mitch Albom
I'd first like to thank my English teacher, Laurie Brown for lending down this book for me. Without her and Mitch Albom, I would have never grown up to be as open-minded as I am now. I am always willing to appreciate the smaller things in life rather than the bigger things. I am eternally grateful.
Now, my quest for you is to think about the five most important souls in your life and compare them to the other people you've met. What's the difference between the certain people you met and how do they impact your life?
