There are approximately 320 million people in the United states, and it is outrageous that out of the people who are qualified to run for office we are stuck with these two candidates. From the left we have the "Wicked Witch of the West Wing", Hillary "Crooked" Clinton, and from the right we have the "New Furor", Donald Trump "of Doom". Sure, both candidate's positive aspects can be argued. However, I have strong concerns for anyone who is so optimistic about these horrible people that they can ignore our Nation's impending doom.
Take a look at what the Huffington Post, a notoriously liberal news aggregator, had to say about both of our "wonderful" candidates:
“Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther, and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims – 1.6 billion members of an entire religion – from entering the U.S.”
"Clinton is hit with scandals left and right. She used a public server to send classified emails... during her time as Secretary of State. She is currently under investigation by the FBI for sending over 30,000 emails... during this time."
"Many people have called Mrs. Clinton a hypocrite for denouncing women who accused then-President Bill Clinton of sexually abusing them – she has been recorded calling them “bimbos” and “liars” – and then standing up for women’s rights. Secretary Clinton also supported her husband’s “Three Strikes” policy even though it discriminated against African Americans. In support of his bill, Mrs. Clinton has even gone so far as to call them “super predators.” Many people have made strong cases that Mrs. Clinton is also a liar."
Here, it is important to note that although the Huffington Post is a liberal news publication, they are accurately depicting both sides of this election. This however, is not common when it comes to politics... It is important during this election to remember which news broadcasting stations hold beliefs in certain parts of the political spectrum. Here is an image in case you need to be reminded:
Not all 320 million Americans watch CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News. We all have our preference, which generally aligns with the political party one identifies with. So then why is it that these media outlets act as if they know who the entire United States wants as our next president? Why are these media outlets that people rely on for accurate information becoming increasingly inaccurate?
Anyone who has taken a government class, economics class, or has any common sense can easily note how the media is manipulating what they want us to know. The media uses public opinion polls as a way to extrapolate generalities and represent data that was gathered through means of both response and nonresponse bias. It is important to remember that data is pooled from people who already hold certain political stances, i.e. those who follow certain news broadcasters. Notice, these polls taken within days of each other, represent reporting bias in the media.

So, why would this make a voter mad... What if it's your first time you get to vote? What if you're ready for a female POTUS, but you're not willing to sacrifice honesty and loyalty to one's Nation in order to vote for Clinton? What if you are pleased that Trump has a strong business background, but you can't look past his horrendous racial slurs, and xenophobic ways? What if you want to vote for a third party candidate, but you know this isn't the year to "throw away a vote"? What if you don't want to vote for any one candidate, but you know the fate of our Nation depends on everyone to exercise their right to vote, regardless of one's political stance?
Vote Democrat, vote Republican, or vote Independent... but after you submit your ballot are you going to be confident that you made the right choice? Regardless of your age and political party you currently identify with, can you say that you're making the most informed decision, and not relying on the media?
Which ever box you decide to select come November 8th, please make sure that you are an informed voter. The media can't decide an outcome this large, we the people and the voters have the weight on our shoulders to do what will better our Nation. Make the decision you believe is right. Make the decision for yourself, your family, your future family, and our country. Once the votes are in, remember we are "One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all".
