Poetry On Odyssey: What Is Love?
Rose Mozczygemba

Love is fingers interlaced together, resting on her thigh during car rides.

Love is Eskimo kisses in the morning when she's barely half-awake.

Love is her stupid jokes and his exasperated, fond eye-rolls.

Love is saying goodnight, every night.

Love is standing patiently still while he combs her hair.

Love is singing along to the "Guardians of the Galaxy" soundtrack between podcasts.

Love is the comfortable silence of just existing in the same space.

Love is the broken silence that comes with tackling her for cuddles during study breaks.

Love is breakfast at Denny's at least once a month, if not more.

Love is reassuring him that his hair is perfectly parted without a strand out of place.

Love is waiting an extra two minutes for him to fix it anyway.

Love is watching John Mulaney's comedy shows for the fifth time and still laughing themselves breathless.

Love is taking her grocery shopping at night and her buying him sparkling grape juice as a thank-you.

Love is discussing how long it will be until they can adopt a dog, and what kind of dog they will have.

Love is planning our next trip because New York was amazing.

Love is being at the same social gathering and smiling at each other from across the room because they don't have to be at each other's sides all night.

Love is discount chocolate in the days following holidays.

Love kisses on the cheek, nose, forehead.

Love is listening to her rant about the test she got a low score on even though she studied so hard for it.

Love is holding her when it all becomes too much and she just needs to cry.

Love is little disagreements that are solved with arms around each other and quiet conversation.

Love is holding his hand through his anxiety and knowing he will eventually tell her what's wrong.

Love is listening to her get all her anxieties out in the open as soon as she feels them and talking her through it.

Love is knowing that they show their emotions in different ways and that their needs won't always be the same.

Love is learning each other's emotional language because of it.

Love is theirs to have.

Love is the two of them facing the world together, every day.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
