Love Me Or Love Me Not

It is your choice.

Love Me Or Love Me Not

Loving someone else is easy. Falling in love with someone is probably the easiest thing you could ever do. You fall so fast that you don't ever realize what is even happening. But along the way of loving other people, we forget that it is okay to love ourselves too. In fact, it is way more important. If someone that you love loves you back, it is the best feeling in the world. But you have to make sure that at the end of the day, they love you for the right reasons and no matter what, you love yourself 10 times more.

Love your free spirit. Love your mind and your soul. Love all of your dreams, even if you might think they are too farfetched because I promise you, they are not. You will find someone who loves the craziest parts of you but until then, love yourself for all those reasons too. Love how the ocean can make you happy and how one switch in music can change your mood. Do not love someone because of their realistic dreams, love them for the unrealistic ones.

Love the way you love others. Growing up I have always been told I care too much and I am too "sensitive". Well I call bullshit on that because NO MATTER WHAT, you can never care too much. Let someone love the sensitive parts of you, but love yourself for them. Love that puppies make you cry and you love all human beings equal. Love someone when you see how much they love others, too.

Love your flaws. They have made you the woman that you are today. The way your nose crinkles when you laugh or the dimple you have on your chin, that is who you are. You are made up of your flaws and the more you try to deny their existence, the worse you are going to feel. Embrace them. In today's society people are valued for the things that make them unique. There is no one on this Earth that is quite like you, and if that isn't something to smile about then I don't know what is. Do not love someone because they are perfect, love them because they're not.

Love your body, but love your heart more. I have always struggled with being comfortable in my own skin. I will never fully be over my insecurities, but I am working on it. Each day that passes I find myself smiling a little more in the mirror. Not because I am skinnier than I was the day before, but because I know that my heart is more beautiful than anything else. What you have inside will always overtake what is on the outside, and you need to be okay with that. Your heart will always be the most beautiful part about you, remember that. Do not love somebody for their body, love them for their heart.

Love me or love me not, that is their choice.

Loving myself first and foremost...

That's mine.

"Don't forget to fall in love with yourself first." - Carrie Bradshaw

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
