A Love Letter To My Daily Cup Of Coffee

Dear daily cup of coffee,

Without you, I would have no purpose of rolling myself out of bed. The sun will rise and my alarm will go off and I will jump right onto my feet for you and only you. I cannot imagine going a single morning without putting you into my tummy. On the worst days, when I can’t find the time to stop and pick you up or make you at home, I’m nothing but a grumpy, miserable human being with a cold heart. You give me the courage and energy to take on each and every day better than my last. No matter what my day has planned for me, I know I can always count on you first thing in the morning to brighten up my mood.

And man, do you taste good. I appreciate you and all of your forms. Small, medium, large – no matter what your size is, I will always appreciate you for what’s inside of your cup. Never will I judge your physical appearance. The only thing I care about is the way you treat my taste buds. And let me just say, you are so extremely versatile. Monday mornings I know I can rely on taking you straight and black with a dash of milk. But on Fridays, I know I can always count on your perfect blend of vanilla syrup and ice cold milk with a touch of whipped cream on top. Hot or cold, it doesn’t matter. Regardless of your temperature, you always taste so damn good!

So, my beautiful, sweet, amazing daily cup of coffee, I just want to thank you. Thank you for being there for me when other humans failed to be. Thank you for always being available to me whenever I need you. Morning, afternoon, night – I know you will be there for me any time of the day. When I’m not with you, I’m always thinking about you. In bed every night as I rest my head against my pillow, the only thing that is filling up my mind is the thought of drinking you the next morning. After I’ve finished you in the morning, I’m thinking about the next time we will finally be able to reunite. I can promise you that no other person, or drink, will ever take your place. You are truly the love of my life and that goes for now, forever, and always.
