Dear Super Hero,

You will never truly know how much you mean to me. You influence my life in many different ways. You love me through everything I do to make you crazy. And hug me even when I have done something wrong. You are one of the strongest women I know (the other one is grandma).

I will forever look up to you and you will forever be the smartest women in my life (even when I prove you wrong, haha). You gave birth to me, you cared for me, you have loved me. You taught me how to love others, how to treat others like I wanted to be treated, you showed me how to be a strong and independent women. You have shown me how I should be treated by others, and you have shown me that I don’t need anyone in my life that treats me like I am nothing.

You were my first teacher, my first friend, my first love. You may not have wanted to accept my bad choices as a teenager but you stood by me and you loved me anyway. You were there when everything went wrong; you have always been there to pick up the pieces, and help me get through it.

Saying you are my hero is probably the biggest understatement ever. You are my biggest motivation in life, and always will be. I want to be the very best I can be for you. Thank you for everything you have done.

Thank you for staying up late with me when I am fighting with my friends, for letting me figure out that a guy I was dating wasn’t good for me, and then being there for me when my world came crashing down. Thank you for always being my shopping buddy, for letting me be a child even though I am in college and need to adult (but I really don’t want to). Thank you for being my #1 fan, for coming to all of my games, and for pushing me to always be the best I can be in everything I do. You are the person I model myself after.

We are a family of strong women because of our mothers before us, I am strong because of you, you are strong because of grandma and she is strong because of her amazing mother! I can only hope that if I have a daughter when I am older (because you're too young to be a grandmother) and that my daughter will be as amazing as all the women before me, I wish that I may be able to show her the love and nurture that you have all shown me. And I hope that she could be half the women that you are!
