Because all coffee deserves a little lovin’.

A Love Letter To All The Coffees
Kelsey Nesbitt

Dear Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, random coffee shops, Frappuccinos, cafe con leche, at home coffee, just all the coffee,

This is a love letter for all of you.

How could anyone just pick one of you to write a love letter to? Each one of you is special in your own way.

The love I have for you, at home ground coffee made in the $20 coffee pot from Walmart, when I don’t wake up in time to stop for some because I was up all night studying for a midterm, that love is indiscribable, a life savior. I thank you for always having my back when the mornings are crunched for time and my need for coffee is high.

My sweet, sweet Dunkin. Literally always, very sweet Dunkin, you give me more than caffeine and it amazes me. I pay just three dollars for a medium iced coffee with cream and sugar. How is it I get so much of each part for so little money? I love you, Dunkin, for your low prices and overly sweet coffee. Sometimes I don’t like to taste the bitterness and you answer that want for more sugar than coffee, every time.

Frappuccino, Frappe (tomayto/tomahto), I love you and each and every one of your calories. You are there for me when there is no time to eat and the need for coffee is in demand. You have so many flavors though; I never know which one to choose. People say you aren’t a true coffee, but they just don’t understand you.

All you random coffee shops, you know who you are, your sign says you sell the world’s best cup of coffee. You may be lying to yourselves, but everyone loves a crappy cup of coffee once in a rare while. I love you for trying and at least giving me the caffeine I needed to keep my day going. Just because you aren’t as well-known doesn’t mean you aren’t loved.

Your royal highness, Starbucks, you hold yourself so high above the others. I admire you for that because your Starbuck’s Double Shots are something worth having a big head for. I love you because you are my special treat to myself. I can’t afford you on the regular so when I do have your coffee, I enjoy every sip. Thank you for being so extra, and creating the best holiday coffees there are. No matter how expensive you get, I will always love you.

And for all the other coffees, don't think I forgot about you. This love letter would be so long people would need more coffee to keep them awake reading. Much love for you, all the coffees.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
