Pinterest just released their predicted fashion and beauty trends for the next year. Impress your friends and jump on these trends to stay ahead of the game!

Fashion Trends

Throwback Kicks

Sneakers are in once again! Look out for new takes on classic sneakers from the past to complete your street look.

Athletic Clothes Never Looked So Good

Lazy people--like me--rejoice! Comfortable workout clothes are going to get chic and acceptable to wear out of the dorm. Hopefully everyone can finally agree that leggings do, indeed, count as pants.

Belt Bags

Sort of like a glorified fanny pack, these bags might just replace the classic cross-body in 2016.

Two of a Kind

For your next night out, consider looking for matching sets instead of a dress. The matching top and skirt or short sets are a new take for those special events.

Statement Sunnies

Move over statement necklaces, colorful, patterned sunglasses will be the new way to make your outfit complete.

Manly Maroon

If your guy is up to date on the trends for 2016, he already knows that maroon, burgundy, and other warm, deep reds are going to be all the rage. Good luck getting him into a maroon suit, though.

Forget Pattern Rules

Stripes and polka dots? Pinterest says yes! Try pairing some pieces with different patterns or textures next year.

Works for Him and Her

Now you have an excuse to raid your man's closet! Pieces that once were only for men are now working for women as well. Androgynous styles will be everywhere in 2016.

Capsule Wardrobes

If you're looking to completely update your closet this year, consider investing in a capsule wardrobe. Build your own by buying pieces that are neutral and easy to pair with the rest of your collection, and you'll have a million outfit possibilities.

Pretty in White

Pinterest predicts that brides are going to look towards icy shades of white and gray for their 2016 weddings.

Beauty Trends

Move Over Ariel

If you're feeling gutsy this new year, consider channeling your inner mermaid and dying your hair pastel, beachy shades.

Coffin Nails

You can thank Kylie Jenner for this new nail trend. This new nail shape is expected to a lot more popular (and practical) than the talon nail trend of 2015.

Bringing Back Brooches

Looking for some inspiration for hair for prom, semi, or a wedding? Take a look at your mom's or grandma's old jewelry. Vintage hair brooches add some sparkle to your look.

Naturally Trendy

2016 is the year to embrace what makes you beautiful. Natural hair is beautiful hair. Hopefully this trend takes off this year and remains popular for many years to come.

Hello Adele

Everyone saw that flawless contour in her Hello music video. Master the Adele Eye for 2016.

Vintage Grooming Kits

Struggling to find a last-minute gift for your boyfriend? Look no further than vintage grooming and shaving kits. This way, he'll be ahead of the trend.

Eyebrows Still on Fleek

This trend isn't going anywhere. Big, beautiful brows are still in and will be in for a long time to come.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
