Hip-Hop has been changing the world for decades now. Each artist that is involved in every beat produced has somehow made an impact in the world with a simple track, a simple lyric, or just by who they are as an individual.

Rising rapper, Logic, has been involved heavily in the hip-hop industry, selling albums internationally and making a name for himself. Four critically acclaimed mixtapes were the first to be released when he started and quickly got his name out into the world.

This helped lead to the eventual release of three studio albums. His debut album "Under Pressure" was released in October of 2014, followed by his sophomore follow-up "The Incredible True Story" in November of 2015, and his most recent (hopeful grammy winning contender) 'Everybody' earlier this year. Now Yes, Logic has been breaking charts in possibly every country that exists but his voice is what is making a HUGE difference.

This man is not the kind of rapper that constantly talks about fame, bragging about his fortune, or explicit topics in every track he creates. He puts out the complete opposite in his music. Personally, I believe every track on all three studio albums including his mixtapes don't have a standout track lyrically, that's because EVERY track stands out. Not just one.

You can feel how much he cares about people, the world in general, his wife, his family, through the way he speaks in all of his songs. He cares about how bad the world is getting and is using his own voice to prove that and move forward. Logic may not be a full-on activist but he is starting to become one and it is just remarkable.

Recently, he released his most rewarding track yet, which is saving lives. That track is called '1-800-273-8255'. You may wonder why it's just a random phone number but it is an important one. That number is the ***National Suicide Prevention Lifeline*** that exists to help people who have those dark thoughts, depression, or any other severe mental illness.

It is available 24 hours for people who are seeking for help. He partnered with the talented Khalid, and today's most inspirational young superstar Alessia Cara for this track that will go down in Hip-Hop history as the most heartbreaking song yet.

He performed this song just a few days ago at the 2017 MTV VMA's and brought the whole world to tears and filled the room with light. Bringing out a group of at least 50 suicide attempt survivors or one's who have lost someone due to suicide, standing with so much bravery on that stage wearing a T-shirt that stated, "you are not alone" on the back. It was so moving and absolutely powerful.

Logic's main purpose for this song was to inspire those going through a dark path or living in a dark world (mentally) to realize that its okay to speak up. We can't lose anymore humans to suicide, not at all. This track and this performance alone, gave him so much praise and respect for being the person to notice and care how important it is to fight for your mental health and speak up. His conclusion speech after the performance gave us all hope for humanity and only made the whole planet respect him a lot more. He started by saying

"I just want to take a moment to thank you for giving me a platform to talk about something that mainstream media doesn't want to talk about: mental health, anxiety, suicide, depression, and so much more that I talk about on this album. From racism, discrimination, sexism, domestic violence, sexual assault and so much more; I don't give a damn if you're black, white, or any color in between.

I don't care if you're Christian, you're Muslim, you're gay, you're straight, I am here to fight for your equality because I believe that we are all born equal, but we are not treated equally and that is why we must fight. We must fight for the equality for every man, woman, and children regardless of race, religion, color, creed, and sexual orientation.

So I say here and now if you believe in this message of peace, love, and positivity, and equality for all, then I demand that you rise to your feet, and applaud not only for yourselves, but the foundation we are laying for our children."

This speech gave chills down every single person's spine and moved me to tears. Logic is a human being that deserves all the love and respect. Bless his heart, as well as Khalid and Alessia Cara for using their voices and Logic himself for landing his impact on the Hip-Hop industry. For those who need to seek help, I beg that you please speak up, don't give up, and CALL 1-800-273-8255.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
