This week I initially wanted to write something about music: what it means to me, the importance of it in this world. The power and hold it can have on us. But this weekend changed my thought process.
There was still music playing (obviously lol), however what happened over the course of the night was different.
As we all know, this past weekend was Halloween Weekend. That meant parties and costumes. A party was the setting for why this week's article is happening.
I do not mean to give a play by play of the night. I mean if you want one come up and ask me about it sometime.
Here, on this platform, I want to discuss the idea of the little things in life.
The main basis for this piece is new friends: friends, people who you get along with, can have a fun night on the town with, watch hours and hours of Netflix with, etc.
My friends continue to surprise me. I make new ones every year it seems. No friend is thought of in a different light than the other. Some are seen more, others talked to more, some I see randomly but time apart doesn't seem real.
This past weekend, two new friends of mine stood by me. They sparked the courage already inside of me.
Courage, the will inside us all to try do things, be daring, be brave. Despite my body shaking randomly, the rush of adrenaline drove me forward.
Next was the simple act of having fun based on who I was with. The times had with friends are the ones we remember. No drugs or alcohol or otherwise needs to blind us. When we are with our friends, we can make any moment fun.
And I don't know about you, but I personally want to remember those moments and be around for quite awhile to have more.

Next week I'll be sure to share my personal tie with music. Many of the small moments in my life involve music. So there you go, another little thing to think about.
