In life, many challenges will be faced. There will be many highs, and then there will be many lows. Milestones will be made, goals will be reached as your journey through life continues. Life is kind of like a never ending video game. Each challenge you face is reaching another level and once you have completed the challenge, you move to the next level. As you get older, the challenges faced will be more challenging and difficult and will have a greater impact. The only difference is that life doesn't have a do over button. It is nonexistent. Instead, you learn from your mistakes made and you move past them. That's the true challenge. How do you grow and move on from the mistakes that you've made? Well, one major key is pretty cliche, you have to stay true to who you are and not lose yourself.
But how does one find themselves? You don't just wake up one morning and say that you've found yourself and have figured everything out in life. That's almost impossible. At age five, we wake up saying that we want to be a princess or an astronaut. At age 13, we become a little bit more realistic and say we want to be a teacher or a doctor. When it comes time to graduate high school and enter college, some of us know exactly what we want to do and some of us still have no clue on what we want to do. Some of us end up changing majors in the middle of a semester and some people end up going to school when they are in their elderly years! Sometimes it takes that long for one to figure out what their purpose in life is, to figure out who they truly are.
I'm not going to lie, getting through a challenging time in your life can set you back big time. I've learned from personal experience that if you let these challenges set you back far enough, it will become even harder to overcome the challenge and will set you back even farther in life. It's the feeling like you're slipping off a ledge and you have to pull yourself back up before you fall completely. The second you start slipping, you have to pull yourself back up. You can't overcome these challenges by letting the situation become even more worse than it already is. If the situation is getting to that point, you have to cut the toxins from your life that's creating the situation. That is key! Once the toxins are cut, then everything will start to fall into place. It may suck at the beginning, but the further you get in life, the more happier you will become. It will become clear on how strong you really are and will give you the strength to face even more challenges in your life.
Challenges don't just overcome themselves. In life, there will be bumps in the road that will create an impact, but it's up to you on how you face them. You can either stay stuck in the same level and no move forward, or you can take the challenge, learn from it, and move on from it. Don't just settle in the game of life, win it!
