Dear Mom,
When you asked my what I was writing about this week I didn't tell you because I wanted it to be a suprise. I may not tell you this enough but I appreciate everything you do for us. you are loving, caring, silly, funny and so much more. You are a hard worker and I strive to be like you one day. I would be lucky when I have children of my own if I am half the Mom to them that you are to me and my sister. I'm writing this not only for you, but to thank you. I want to thank you for everything you've done for me and helping me become the woman I am today.
Thank you for all the sleepless nights from when I was a baby to now when I have the stomach bug or a cold and I need you to sit with me. Thank you for all the car rides to who knows where (mostly the grocery store). Thank you for always believing in me even when I didn't believe in myself. Thank you for being my biggest fan during cheerleading season, school plays, or whatever else I do. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for always being a shoulder to cry on. Thank you for pushing me to be my best, especially when I need that push. Thank you for never judging me. Thank you for the endless pictures from proms and formals. Thank you for telling me that "chocolate is another type of medicine". Lastly, thank you for being my biggest support system.
I could go on and on with thank you's but if I did this would be the longest article ever. I know i don't thank you enough but I really do mean every one of those thank you's. If you and daddy didn't push when I needed it I would have never even imagined myself being where I am today. You truly are the best mom I could have asked for and I wouldn't want it any other way. I always find it funny when people tell us we look a like and you don't believe them because I think we look a lot a like! I'm happy that I look like you because where ever I go someone that I don't know that knows you just knows I'm your daughter and I can happily tell them "yes, that is my mother."
I hope you believe me when I say that i wouldn't be who I am today without you. I wouldn't have had the courage to done some of the things I've done if you didn't tell me that I could do them. I would have never gone to Florida to volunteer this past spring break. I would have never volunteered as much as I have. I probably wouldn't have gone to Bridgewater State if you didn't convince me that it was the school for me when I was on the fence about where to pick. You have shaped me to become me and I cannot thank you enough for that. So again, I just want to say thank you for all you have done.
Love you forever,
Ashley
