Dear fellow Chanticleers,

I am sorry that this will be my last week here at the school we all love so much, but it was time for me to do what I had to. Some people may not understand the reasons behind my leaving, but the only thing you need to understand is that it will be the best thing for me. Although I do love Coastal, and transferring was never on my road map, it is something I need to do. I have to leave behind some of the most important, and influential people in my life in order to benefit my future, but I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to every single one of you.

In case I do not get the opportunity, before leaving, to see all of you in person, this is the next best option in order to express my feelings towards all of you. These last two years have been filled with memories, the good and the bad, and I have all of you to thank for that. Thank you for helping me adjust to the college lifestyle in the best, easiest way possible. Thank you all for helping me find myself, and my path in this world. Each person that has come into contact with me, at this school, has made some sort of impact on the person I am today, and I am entirely grateful for each and every one of you.

When I move on throughout my life, you are the people I will remember and strive to stay in contact with. I cannot do anything but hope that at my new school I will find individuals that are as incredible as some of you here at CCU. The people I have met here are different than all of the others that have been a part of my life. I have learned a lot about the different people in this world through my experience at Coastal, and I now know how entirely different people are. Although people are different, they are also extremely amazing.

To my teammates, I know we may not be the most perfect team, or the team with the most wins here at Coastal, but we are a team, and will forever be one. Thank you all for always being there for me, whether we were winning or losing, on and off of the field. A team is something that I have always been a part of and did not think I would have that opportunity in college, but because of all of you, I did. You were the group of people that no matter what, were there, and were always willing to have the best of times.

To my roommates, it isn't easy putting girls with completely different backgrounds and personalities in an apartment together, but somehow, we made it work, and oh how grateful I am that we did. Over the course of two years, I have had a lot of different roommates, and they were all completely different people, but because of all of you I have learned so much.

To the people I have gotten to know on an entirely new level of personal, you have all helped me immensely these past two years. Without you guys, leaving Coastal might have been a lot easier, but I am grateful it's not. I cannot imagine living at a new school and not seeing each and every one of you every single day. I love you all very much and I am truly going to miss you.

Although this may be my last week here with all of you, there will never be a last memory at CCU. This school, and the people, have encouraged me to think outside the box and become my entirely own person. Everything about being a Chanticleer has meant a lot to me, and it is something that I will cherish for a lifetime.

I keep telling myself that I couldn't stay at Coastal forever, but my time here is just shorter than expected. Going to school in the city is something I have forever dreamed of, and I am extremely excited to begin this new chapter (Go Rams!), and I can only hope that my fellow Chanticleers will forever stand by me and support me in this adjustment.

So, thank you all, for being you.

Turn up or transfer.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
