Although it was only a short time ago that we met, it feels like I have known you forever. When I look back to my life, I thought it was complete. I thought I knew everyone that I needed and made all the friends that I needed. I was very content, not knowing what I was missing, until I met you. We were thrown into this crazy thing called college, all nervous and excited at the same time, and ready to make new friends. We always thought that our childhood and high school friends would remain the most important, and the new friends would merely become just our "college friends." However, this has been the most false statement of them all. In this short amount of time spent together, we have become family. We have experienced things in each other's lives that we vowed we would not let anybody experience with us. We have been through ups and downs, twists and turns, but on this rollercoaster of life, I can look to my side, and know that you will always be there.

As you embark on your last semester of college, I know you are nervous. This has been your life for the last four years. You have become so accustomed to living this lifestyle, and I know the future is scaring everything out of you. I know you can't imagine that in just four short months, you will be graduated and moving onto start your professional career. All of your hard work thus far has brought you to this point, and everything you have learned will allow you to succeed and thrive.

I am here to tell you not to be scared. I know you well, maybe even more than you know yourself. I know what you are capable of, for I look up to you for a lot. I aspire to be more and more like you everyday, which is why I know that you will succeed. All of your dreams will come true and your aspirations will become real. You will get that job that you wanted, and finally be able to afford that dream car and the designer labels that we always talked about. You will finally have the chance to take that trip that you wanted to take and have been talking about for so long and make the career moves that you have worked so hard for. Everything you deserve you will get, because you are worthy of it. You deserve every good thing that is coming for you, and I know that you will get it.

As the end of an era is fast approaching, I want to just say thank you. Thank you for opening yourself up to me and welcoming me into your life. I survived so long without you, but now, I can't imagine my life without you. You have become a huge presence in my life and there is not a day in my life that I don't want to be with you. Thank you for being you, most importantly. Because of you, my life feels more and more complete. Don't be scared, for the future is exciting. You may not know what the future holds, but you know who holds the future, and that is you. Please fulfill all your dreams, but know that I will always be here for you. I will be your biggest cheerleader and supporter, but most importantly, I will always be you friend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
