An Open Letter To My High School Friend Group

I couldn't have survived high school without y'all.

An Open Letter To My High School Friend Group

First, thank y'all. Thank you all for being there whenever I needed y'all the most. Thank you guys for the unconditional love and support. Thank y'all for the best inside jokes, advice, late-night talks, and early morning breakfast dates that left us with stories that we will tell our grandkids. Thank you for all of the laughs at all of the proms, football games, and parties we all went to together. Thank you for all of the fun times that we had together. Thank you for making my high school experience unforgettable. More importantly, thank y'all for being my best friends and for making high school a little more bearable. You've all always been there for me, and I know that you'll always continue to be.

Secondly, I am beyond proud of every single one of you. You're the smartest, most inspiring group of people that I know. You're such strong people, and I know that no matter what challenges face y'all, you'll make it through. You're all going to accomplish such big things and I can't wait to see where the future takes each of you!

Thirdly, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all of our petty little arguments. I'm sorry for the times that I was jealous, insecure, and untrusting towards you. I'm sorry for doubting you whenever you had my best interests at heart and for sometimes creating drama whenever we were just trying to have fun. I'm sorry for taking advantage of our friendships at times.

Lastly, I want y'all to know that I will always be here for all of you. No matter how far apart we become, I will always be a phone call, text, or facetime call away. Although I can't be there for your college experiences, I can't wait for all of you to tell me every little detail about it! Although I've made plenty of friends in college, none of them will ever compare to y'all. You're my best friends and always will be. I will never forget y'all and I hope our friendships will last forever. Y'all will always hold an enormous piece of my heart.

I'm so thankful to have such great friends who will stick with me for the rest of my life.

With Love,

Your Forever High School Best Friend.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
