Dear Mom and Dad,
I want to say thank you for everything. Thank you for always being my main support group throughout my life. You have been there every step of the way without hesitation always making sure I had what I needed and was happy.
Going away to school was probably one of the hardest things for all of us and without your support, I'm not sure I would be as happy here as I am. Although you may be hours away, and we all have our own things to do, I know that I can always call and you'll be there.
I can never thank you enough for making sure since the day I was born that each of your kids would have the opportunity to go to college without worrying about how we would afford it. You both have worked so hard for so long that I can only dream of having the motivation you both have to be able to get out of bed each morning and work to support us.
Another thing I want to thank you for is never pressuring me to go to college. You never told me that I had to go, just like you never told me I couldn't. Watching how hard you both work was my inspiration. Whether it was from hearing all of dad's crazy stories and about all the friends he made or mom repeatedly going back to school to earn more degrees while still keeping a full time job, I knew it was something I wanted to experience.
I want you to know how grateful I am even though I may not express it as often as I should. Everything you do is for your children, and that's something I will always respect. I hope that, if I end up having kids one day, I can do the same for them. You both have been an inspiration for me to be better and work harder every day, and I love you for that.
I love college so much. I love you both so much, and don't worry; home will always be home.
Sincerely,
Your College Kid
