Hey Papa,
I'm missing you a little extra today.
I wonder if the big man upstairs knows how lucky he is? He gets to hang out with the hell raising, NASCAR loving, coolest Papa around.
I hope you know that I would do anything to see you again or hear you call me “Casey Rae” one more time. I’m not the pig-tailed, little girl you remember anymore. I’ve grown up a lot since the day you had to go but I know that you have been watching over me every step of the way. You probably shook your head a time or two from some of the decisions I have made but I think you are also proud of the woman I am becoming.
Although I cannot see you with my eyes or hold your strong hands, I feel you in my heart and hang on to every memory.
You’re probably having a cold one with Dale Earnhardt right about now but I know you would be here if Heaven wasn’t so far away.
With Love,
Your Granddaughter
