I don't know about y'all, but I'm so tired of being judged or shamed for my decisions, actions or thoughts. We live in a great country, where we have the right to do, feel and act however we want, so let's stop shaming.
College is the place for diversity and change. We're supposed to be figuring ourselves out while trying to make good grades, finding our circle, finding something to believe in and being happy. We all know how tough this time can be, so why add on judgements when we're all in the same boat? So let's stop judging.
The partiers and home bodies: if you're the person who likes to go out every chance you get to blow off steam, that's okay! If you're the person who rather stay in on the weekends to get some alone time, that's okay! Instead of judging the other for being "too crazy" or "lame," think "okay well I hope they have a good time!"
The single and the one in a relationship: let's stop shaming the girl or guy in a relationship!! If they want to hangout with their significant other the majority of their time, that's okay! Their significant other can be their best friend, only friend, sole supporter, etc., and it's okay. If you're single, know that the one's in the relationships are cheering you on!
The religious and the non: whether you believe, worship, have no opinion on or don't believe in God, that's okay. For the believers, let's stop judging the ones not going to campus ministries or church on Sunday. Instead, pray for them anyways. For the non, stop judging the ones that are spiritual. Everyone has their thing they need to believe in to keep going.
Y'all let's just stop shaming. Let's stop judging. This world is tough. College is hard. Growing up and trying to find yourself is a difficult process. We all know this to be true. So if you party, have fun and be safe. If you don't, enjoy your relaxation.. If you're single, flirt away. if you're not, enjoy your date nights. If you're religious, pray for this world. If you're not, keep on doing you. Let's all just be happy, mind our own business, and live this life the best each of us can.
