Let's Get Naked

For a free spirit like myself, I never really questioned why I was constantly wanting to be out of restricting clothes and just lounging around in the most bare minimum amount of clothing that was appropriate. Then I began to realize there are so many health benefits that come with it! Here are a few healthy reasons why you should become a nudist too.

1. Sleeping naked is extremely beneficial.

First off, when you sleep your body goes through natural temperature changes throughout your sleep cycles. Wearing pajamas actually gets in the way of your body's natural ability to regulate its temperature, causing you to lose sleep. Moreover, the warmer you are when you sleep, the more your body creates cortisol to help it sleep more – this has been proven to make you more hungry. By sleeping naked you are also reducing the likelihood of gaining weight from wanting to eat, because you are so tired. Last, but certainly just as important, sleeping naked with the one you love is very healthy for your relationship! It promotes a healthy sex life and confidence within your relationship. Sleeping naked with your loved one will encourage more frequent sex, which then in turn will lead to a healthier, happier couple!

2. It's better for your lady parts.

This little bit is specifically for my female readers. Being naked and removing restricting underwear is actually proven to benefit your downstairs. It lets it breath, stay dry, and regulate itself. This is especially true at night, when wearing underwear or tight, cute clothing is actually harmful to your downstairs because it is trapping in bacteria that could cause infections.

3. You become body conscious.

Putting on layers of clothing immediately after showering means you don't get time to look at yourself. Spending time naked means you will see yourself more, and you'll be more apt to noticing a difference in your appearance from when you're healthy to when you are or could be sick. You also will become aware of what you're comfortable with for your body shape, creating positive body image, but also helping you see weight gain or loss that you may not have seen with clothing on. It never hurts to spend time naked to inspect your body to make sure you are the healthiest you.

4. Being naked is sexy.

Many people are intimidated by their natural selves, causing them to quickly cover up and not look at their bodies. Spending time with yourself naked boosts your self confidence by allowing you to become comfortable with your natural self. This confidence will roll over to when you do have clothing on too. Plus, by putting less clothing on your body you are also reducing the risk for sweating and holding in bacteria that could cause acne, thus creating more confidence with clear skin. If you don't feel comfortable walking around naked in your house, first try sleeping naked, then move on to getting ready in the morning without the towel wrapped around you, each of these has its own benefits and adds to the bigger picture – that you are sexy naked! If you are in a relationship, then feeling sexy naked is only going to benefit the both of you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
