Dogs are, in my opinion, one of the absolute best creations on the planet. There are so many things that make dogs awesome that if I sat here and typed them all out, I think it would take me all day and you'd be stuck reading an extremely long article. Also, I would definitely end up leaving some out because there are so many. That being said, here are just a few reasons why dogs are awesome.
1. They are just the cutest things ever.
I mean come on, have you ever seen a puppy? How could anyone think a puppy looking up at them with big playful eyes is not just the cutest thing in the world? They just make you want to cuddle and hold them because they are so gosh darn adorable. Not only are puppies adorable, but dogs of all ages are. Everyone needs good things in their lives and having a super cute dog to snuggle and play with is one of the best things ever.
2. They can cheer you up in the blink of an eye.
I could be in the worst mood, but if a doggie comes up to me wagging their tail licking me, my mood automatically skyrockets like ten levels. I have a German shepherd at home and whenever she sees someone crying she will literally run up to them and start licking, squealing, and lightly pawing at them to make sure they are okay. Some people do not see dogs as intelligent creatures but because of things like that, I know that they are. They want everyone to be happy and it is so sweet! Dogs you do not even know will a lot of times just walk up to you and act like you have been best friends your whole life. They give out love without demanding it in return. They are so sweet and cheery towards people whether they know them or not; I just love it.
3. They are SO playful and entertaining!
Dogs love playing fetch, tug-of-war, and running around. Dogs are a lot of things, but one thing they are not is boring. The little things dogs do when they want to play are so cute too. My dog will stick her tail in the air and bow her face to the ground and do a little howl when she wants to play. they will do silly things to make you laugh, like barking when the doorbell rings on a TV show. Dogs just get so excited to play and live life in general. I think us humans should learn to have as much fun as they do!
4. They all are all unique and have their own individual traits.![]()
No two dogs are the same. Every dog has their own quirks and preferences. Some dogs will eat vegetables like carrots and cucumbers, while others will not dare to touch such foods. Some dogs like to sleep a lot, while others like to be up and about as much as physically possible. Some dogs bark like crazy when they cross another dog on a walk, while others walk by unbothered. And just like us humans, some dogs love to be social, while others are on the shy side. Some dogs love to be pet and cuddle, while others don't really enjoy being touched a lot. They come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors too. And each dog does its own little quirky things; for example, my dog howls whenever she hears a police siren. Just like us, every individual dog is unique and each takes time to get to know, which is really cool.
5. Dogs are just so loyal and they love you so much.
Having a dog is great because they make you feel so special and wanted by how much they love you. Whether you have been gone all day or just been gone for an hour at the grocery store, dogs will get so excited when you get home and make you feel like the greatest person in the world. When anyone in my family gets home, my dog will run up to them squealing with excitement, and jumping with joy. Dogs just want to be with you, and they are loyal in that they continue to want to be by your side, even if they don't always get as many walks as they would like, or if you get upset with them sometimes. If your dog knocks over the trash and you yell at them, they are still going to love you just as much. They might go hide in a corner for a little bit or stick their tail between their legs, but they don't hold grudges. They will still be sad whenever you leave them, and bounce off the walls when you get home. They will still be your best friend, regardless. And they will still choose you over anyone else. It is great knowing that your dog wouldn't want to be anywhere in the world but right there by your side. We as humans get so busy and have so much going on, and we love so many other things and people besides our dogs. Yet, our dogs only have us, and their life revolves around us. And when your friends leave you or you have no one to talk to, your dog is always going to be right there, wanting to spend time with you. Dogs really are man's best friend.
Like I mentioned earlier, these are just a few of the very many reasons that dogs are awesome. They are adorable, can cheer you up, are playful and entertaining, all unique individuals, and are the most loving and loyal animals out there. One thing is for sure, this world would not be the same without these amazing creatures.
