We All Need To Agree, It Is Time To #JoinTheAlliance

Is this the new feeder league that can help develop some of the future stars in the NFL, or can it fill the void that is left behind in the spring when the NFL, and College Football go into their offseasons? After a first weekend which saw amazing viewership, but backlash due to miscues during the games, but the players and the fans look forward to this year as they grow into a new fresh perceptive on the game of football.

This past weekend we saw the beginning of a new era in American professional football.

While in years past, when the Super Bowl ended that meant that football for, Americans were over until late August early September, a new football league the Alliance of American Football (AAF) had its first action this weekend.

Not since 2001, the only year of the XFL has there been a professional football league that has competed with the NFL. While that league had its many, many flaws, the AAF took what the XFL began and has tried to rebuild it this league that can compete with the NFL while the NFL season ends.

Again, with what happened with the XFL, people will be and should be skeptical about the AAF, but there are many reasons why people should be excited for the AAF.

The first reason is that is a decently competitive football, while this first weekend was the quality of football that you would've seen in the Chiefs vs Rams classic last season.

The quality of play is what you would have expected from this league in its first game, which is the equivalent of MLB AAA or NBA G League play. As fans, we shouldn't expect to see exciting NFL quality football, because this is the first season of the league.

The second reason is that this is a second chance for players who didn't succeed in the NFL or didn't get an opportunity to prove they can play in the NFL.

If you watched the games this weekend, then you may have recognized some familiar names that played in college and succeed in college. Those names included, Aaron Murray, Justin Thomas, and Greg Ward Jr, these players who didn't get a chance to compete in the NFL, get a chance to play in competitive football and show NFL scouts they have the desire and talent to play in the NFL.

The last reason why you should be excited to watch the AAF is because of the fact that we get to see some teams in markets where they don't or never had an NFL franchise, or in the case of Birmingham Iron, never a professional sports franchise.

Some cities, like San Diego which thought they had their football team ripped away from them, now have a chance to watch professional football again in their city. Six of eight teams in the AAF don't have an NFL team in their market, the two teams that do have NFL are the Arizona Hotshots, and Atlanta Legends, in the case of Arizona, they finally get to see competitive football back in their city again.

With the change, their needs to be time to work out the kinks, so while these first few games won't be the greatest football you'll ever see, as the season goes on the AAF can establish themselves as the new football leagues which can compete with the NFL. Giving football fans something to watch and get excited about while the NFL goes into its offseason.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
