Tua Tagovailoa had his second start as the Miami Dolphins' quarterback last Sunday during an away game against the Arizona Cardinals. Tua played amazing, recording 248 yards and 2 touchdowns, which included a tight touchdown throw in the fourth quarter to Tight End, Mack Hollins to tie the game at 31 points a piece.
Tua has been proving that he is more than capable of taking charge in the National Football League and being the face of a historic franchise, such as the Miami Dolphins. This game against the Arizona Cardinals was a game that many analysts were expecting the Miami Dolphins and Tua to lose. Kyler Murray to that point was having a more than phenomenal season, leading the Arizona Cardinals to a 5-2 record and already drawing comparisons to the likes of Michael Vick and Russell Wilson.
Kyler Murray did have an amazing game still last Sunday, putting up 283 yards and 3 touchdowns. However, it was Tua Tagovailoa that exceeded expectations. Tua, in that game, showed off his amazing ability to scramble and get extra yardage, as well as his quick ability to scan all of his reads within and without the pocket. This was highlighted by a 15 yard rush in the fourth quarter, where he had to squeeze through a collapsing Offensive Line to move the chains for Miami Dolphins.
Tua is an amazing athlete and an even amazing person. He is a hard worker, as stated by his college coach at the University of Alabama, the great Nick Saban. He is a great team player, having a great relationship with his team in Miami, especially with Ryan Fitzpatrick, who Tua Tagovailoa sat behind for about 6 games this season.
Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday. WIth this comes a face off against Justin Herbert, another rookie that is taking the league by storm. This will really be a test for Tua and this franchise to see what he is capable of and if he wil live up to being the number 5 overall pick in the draft and the future of the Miami Dolphins franchise as a whole.
