Introducing Your 2016 Women's U.S. Gymnastics Team

It looks like the U.S. might have another dominating women's gymnastics team heading down to Rio for this year's Olympic games. Team USA took home the gold during the London games a few years ago for women's gymnastics and are looking to take it home again. With these crazy talented athletes, it appears that they have a pretty good shot of doing so. Many people are deeming this team the "dream team." America, it's time to meet your new U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics Team.

First up, the oh-so-talented, Gabby Douglas

Douglas is the defending Olympic champion, returning to try and defend her title. She was the first African American woman to win the all-around gold at the games. She is definitely a favorite to win a gold this year as well. At just age 20, this will already be her second Olympics and she's a recent TV personality. Basically, she's pretty much cooler than anyone else her age. You go Gabby! Make us proud...again.

Simone Biles

The hype for her is already at a high and is bound to grow as she shows off her superhuman skills this summer in Rio. She is 3 time, all-around world champion and placed first at the recent Olympic trials in San Jose. Many are calling her the "greatest female gymnast ever," according ABC News. There was no way she wasn't going to make this team because she's just that talented. She even wobbled during her routine a bit, but the judges were too impressed with her insanely intense routine that they didn't seem to care at all. There's no doubt in my mind that she will be taking home a gold this august.

The other returning Olympian, Aly Raisman

She returned home from London in 2012 as the most decorated gymnast after receiving a gold on floor, a bronze on beam, and she contributed to the gold for the team. Raisman stunned the audience with her amazing floor routine in London, making us excited to see what she has in store for Rio. At 22, she is like the older sister figure of the team and by the looks of it, she it definitely in the running to be captain this year.

Laurie Hernandez

Her floor routines are captivating and entertaining as they mix tumbling, dance, and lots of energy. At just 16 years old, she is the youngest member of the team but she is sure to bring lots of talent and skill to the team. Not only is she the baby of the team, but she's also the first US-born Latina to be on the team according to NBC. Some people call her the human emoji because of her bubbly personality that shines every time she does a routine.

Lastly, Madison Kocian

Bars is her main focus and her biggest attribute to a team that's usually not the greatest at that event. She is the current world champion on bars and her amazing performance on bars at the trials landed her a spot on the team. By the sounds of it, she will be competing in other events as well according to popsugar, but her bar routine is going to be a must-see for the Rio games.

As if their pure talent wasn't enough, this team will also be looking quite snazzy as they flip, tumble, jump, and spin this August in Rio. Sports Illustrated recently released a picture of one of their leotards they will be sporting during the games. You can check it out here.

Without a doubt, these five amazing women are the definition of #squadgoals. Can't wait to see them rock it this summer in Rio and make their country proud. You go girls!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
