Choosing where to go to college is a huge decision. You get advice from everyone - parents, older friends & siblings, teachers - but how do you really know where the best place to call home for the next 4+ years will be?
If you're anything like me, you've probably already spent many hours contemplating the pros and cons of each school. But when it comes down to it, if more than one of these moments has happened to you, rest assured you have fallen in love with a school.
A picture of the campus is your screensaver
Setting a picture as your screensaver means that you want to see the school every day. Maybe you did it to motivate yourself or to give yourself something to look forward to - either way, you really like this school. This is a clear sign that you'll be happy there.
You want to go back and tour again... and again
If you liked a school so much that you want to go tour it again, thats great! Whether you are able to go again or not, there's a reason that you are feeling pulled there. Eagerness to go back means that you have started to grow an attachment to a school.
You buy something from the bookstore
You wouldn't buy something you wouldn't want to wear, right? Repping a college is a sure sign that you really like a school, because it obviously had a good enough impression for you to want people seeing you in its name and colors. Who knows, maybe this is just the start of your collection!
You start thinking about clubs
If you've started to do research about the clubs offered at a school you're looking at (and find yourself wanting to join), then you've definitely started to fall for it! Doing this has gotten you to start thinking of yourself in that setting. This should be a cue that you belong at a certain school.
You get "the feeling" that everyone talks about
This is probably the most cliche thing you will hear when deciding on a college, but I can attest that "the feeling" is real. If you haven't experienced it yet, the best way I can describe it is feeling like you belong. Don't be afraid if you haven't gotten it yet or if it takes time to grow, its all part of the process!
Good luck with finding your place!
