I Am Anxiety
You cannot see me
For I am only visible to her.
Sometimes she cannot see me either.
For I am only visible, when I strike.
I am sneaky,
I am inconsistent.
I am feared.
I am a part of her,
A part that she wishes she wasn't.
You see her shake,
You see her panic.
You see her cry,
but you don't see me.
She feels my weight
on her chest,
as I sit
causing her breathing pattern
to shift.
Have I
made you feel this before?
She fights back
tears that want to stream down her cheeks.
She sits,
trying to stay still,
trying to stay calm.
Abruptly I strike.
I make her feel my heaviness.
She tries to push me away
She tries to rid of me.
She uses her five senses
in hopes to distract herself from me.
It is a battle
Me against her.
