We all know they say that the love of a pet is like no other. But let's be real, we all also know that there are so many struggles that come along with owning a pet. Some might be crazy about cats and some of us might be crazy about dogs. Here are ten struggles that the people who let their four-legged fur child go through when we let them take over our lives.

1. You move to make them comfortable

Whether it's you move out of their way or you move to make them have more room, you move!

2. Lint rollers are your best friend

Dog hair gets everywhere. Lint rollers always come to the rescue.

3. You say longer goodbyes to them than your spouse

I know my boyfriend could definitely agree. I say a longer goodbye to my dog and make sure he has everything he needs before I leave my house.

4. They come before plans

No matter what my plans might be I always make sure I have time to run home and let my dog out and feed him.

5. Sometimes I spend more on him than myself

Between dog toys, food, beds, baths and vet bills, there has got to be months when he costs more than me.

6. I take him to the vet when he's sick faster than I go to the doctor.

I could be dying and will still refuse to go to the doctor. But my pup gets sick, and I have the first appointment available.

7. They go almost everywhere with you

If I'm going to a store he can go to with me, he goes. A friend's house that doesn't mind him there, he goes.

8. They have their own bed but yours is their real bed.

Now my dog has his own bed, but let's be real, he sleeps in mine every night. And on top of that he takes up all the room!

9. You wake up earlier than you want sometimes

The weekends are my time to sleep in. But there have been weekends where my beloved pup has decided 5:30 am is a great time to wake up. And guess what, I get up. But then I'm stuck awake while he peacefully goes back to sleep on the couch.

10. You want more dogs

I kid you not, I would have ten more dogs if possible. But thankfully, right now one is enough to keep me busy.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
