With the end of the semester coming up, everyone knows it's a time of procrastination. There are projects that pile up, finals to study for, group projects and presentations to work on. In the near distance a clock silently ticks, and students tell themselves that it's okay to wait to get started. There are still a few weeks left, but then it turns to one week. No worries because there is still time, right?
Students will do anything in their power to procrastinate until the night before, and then they have to stay up all night to finish their work. When it's time for their projects to be handed in or to take their finals, students think 'I wish I could have worked a little longer' or 'I wish I could have studied more.' Students blame it on professors giving them too much, procrastination, or other excuses.
The blame is on themselves.
You are in control of what you want. Do you want good grades? Then you'll have to earn it. A high grade for a class doesn't magically appear because you wish to do well. To earn it you need to have dedication and hard work.
This goes beyond doing well on a test. Think about all the goals and dreams you have. Have you ever started to move toward your goal? If not, what's stopping you? Nothing in life is easy, you need to work for what you want. Sometimes that means failing a countless number of times, but don't let that stop you. Things don't always work out the way you want them to the first time. This means you can't give up after one or two tries; keep moving forward because it's the only way to reach your goal.
Don't just tell people what you want to do in life. Do it. If you wait, then that silent clock is going to keep ticking and you'll find yourself growing old and wondering why you never started your dream. Forget about fate or luck, because it's you who decides how far your luck goes. You're the one who changes what is going to happen, because of your dedication. Be committed to your dream and confident that someday you will succeed.
Break down your limitations and stop being afraid of what the outcome might be. Start working toward your dream with expectations of succeeding, because you want to stay positive. By being positive it will motivate you to work hard, and you'll find happiness that your dream is coming together. It's your decision how much effort you put into your desired goal. Yes, sometimes working toward your dream is a struggle, but I promise you it will pay off in the end.
Now, how will you move forward to reach your goal?
