As my five year high school reunion came and went, it made me reminisce on my time at Linsly. In honor of all the great memories shared while a student, here is a list of thoughts all alumni remember having while roaming the hallways of The Linsly School.
1. I wonder how tight Mr. DiOrio will squeeze my shoulders as he walks by today.
2. No snacks in the senior lounge?? Rick Ray must be mad about something!
3. Please don't let Brubaker notice I have gum. Please don't let Brubaker notice I have gum. Please don't let Brubaker notice I have gum.
4. Awkwardly standing outside of the side doors hoping someone would walk by and let you in because walking around to the front of the school was just way too much effort.
5. Wait? We have a test today? ... Oh, hey Nurse Corbett. I think I'm sick. I'm just going to go lay in that Disney princess themed bed for the rest of the period. And yes, I do want some hot chocolate.
6. Ms. Roten, R E A L L Y?! You are going to make me walk all the way to the Field House for gym class in this weather?
7. Wearing a t-shirt as a 'sweater' over your school shirt and thinking no teacher will notice.
8. trying to decide what you wanted to do in this year's Extravaganza
9. waking up to two feet of snow and still not bothering to look for Linsly on the Snowbird report, because you knew it was a waste of time.
10. Hating senior cuts at lunch as an underclassmen but using them every chance you could during your senior year.
Instantly coming up with some medical reason as to why you couldn't participate in gym class when you learned swimming was the activity.
11. if you lost something and it wasn't on the shelves outside of the bookstore, it was gone forever.
12. Never really knowing what a Prefect was, then becoming a Prefect and still not really knowing what it is.
13. getting excited any time any sports team played Central, mostly because you got a dress down day.
14. Knowing you were going to be late when you had class on the third floor right after having class in the Visual Arts Center.
15. Realizing how lucky you are to have gone to such a great school
