Traveling Alone Is Something Everybody Should Try Once In Their Life

There are so many wonderful places out there, go see them!

I LOVE to travel and I cannot express this enough. There is so much out there that I want to see and experience, but when am I going to do it? Even now I would say I average one or two trips a year, which some people would say that's a lot and others would say that isn't much as all, but if I waited around for someone to travel with, how often would I actually travel? Probably not very often. Traveling by yourself can be a little daunting at first, but it doesn't have to be all the time. It can actually be a rewarding experience if you know how to do it.

I think solo travel is important because it teaches independence. For the most part, you only have yourself to rely and depend on. It's up to you to find a place to stay, eat, get around, etc. I also hear that traveling alone seems boring, but in all honesty, as long as you keep yourself moving, you hardly notice. You also get to plan your trip however you want and on your own terms. This also gives you the opportunity to befriend and get to know new people from a different place. Traveling by yourself doesn't have to be lonely if you know how to spend your time. You'll also get out of your comfort zone and become your own problem solver!

No offense to any of my friends or family, but if I waited around for someone to go always go with me, I'd never go anywhere. The older I get, the less my friends and my schedules seem to match up, or if they do we already have plans. I don't want to miss out on an experience because I didn't have anyone to go with. I'd much rather go alone and have a good time than not go because everyone was busy. Not only when it comes to traveling, but even going to the mall, movies, concerts; I don't see a problem in going by myself. Life is too short to wait for someone, just do you and have fun.

I've also understood that safety can be a bit iffy depending on where you're going and staying. Make sure to do proper research and don't go to a place because it's the cheapest. I would rather pay a little extra and know that I'm in a safe area than pay less and question the area I'm staying in. That being said, just because the world isn't safe, don't let that stop you from solo traveling. Do your research and plan your trip carefully.

Traveling is an amazing opportunity to see beautiful places and learn about different cultures. Solo traveling can teach you many things, such as your problem-solving skills, independence, as well as learning to be comfortable being by myself. It's overall a great experience that helps us grow and we shouldn't be afraid to do.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
