If you’ve ever been subject to a party foul- when someone spills or drops something at a party, or when someone does something embarrassing- then you know that rebounding from that isn’t always the easiest. Being an easy target for people at a party to criticize, knowing what you can do to get out of that hole can be more than beneficial. Keep these things in mind if you ever get caught in a messy situation.
1. If you spill a drink
Clean it up! Right away! And hope that no one notices. This is one of the least conspicuous party fouls. Once you’ve cleaned your spill you’re good to go and can grab a new drink and enjoy the rest of the party. Just make sure to be more careful this time around. No harm no actual foul, right?
2. If you're not following the house rules
You better shape up for the remainder of the game(s) that you’re playing and hope that they still allow you to partake. Their house, their rules. And if they don’t allow you to asking to play another round is a definite no and should be avoided.
3. If you throw up
You need to get your act together and grab some water. Sit out for a couple songs and see how you’re feeling after that. However, don’t push yourself by any means, that could mean disaster all over again and after two party fouls in one night you should eject yourself from the party and think about staying in for a couple weekends.
4. If you pull out the aux cord
At this point, there’s no saving yourself and you should just leave the party entirely.
These young men and women are lending us their houses for nights on end, the least we can do is be respectful to it but also we have to know what to do when the worst happens. Have fun (while being respectful) and remember what to do if you ever have a little too much fun and commit any of these party fouls.
