If you’re in college, then there’s a good chance you’d like to take a nap right now. I know I do. The worst is when you don’t have enough time to go home to take a nap before your next class.
Luckily, there are ways you can nap on-the-go. With the new semester beginning, it's the ideal time to improve our napping skills. So let's check out these comfy products and try not to yawn.
Hypnos Hoodie
The Hypnos Hoodie lets you sleep anywhere with a built-in hood pillow.
According to digitaltrends.com, building a pillow directly into the hood of the loungewear results in a “beautiful, comfortable, and practical hoodie designed for creatives, travelers, commuters and anybody who has a moment to take a rest.” The pillow “contours and wraps around the head to give unparalleled support along with the flexibility to maneuver to any desired position.”
The Hypno Hoodie comes in a variety of styles, including a pullover or a zip-up. You can choose fleece, French terry, cotton or nylon. There are also men’s or women’s versions to help fit your body shape.
The hoodies are made in Los Angeles, and you will soon be able to pre-order one for $59 on Kickstarter (retail $69).
Since sweatshirts are inherently made to be super comfortable, it makes sense to add a pillow for even more coziness. Sleeping anywhere just got a whole lot easier!
Sleepsuit
I'm not going to lie, the Sleepsuit looks like a weird piece of abstract art. According to treehugger.com, designer Forrest Jessee developed a "transportable and adjustable cocoon that allows for constant air flow in a variety of different positions and environments."
Jessee says that you can get in and out of it in less than a minute and then sleep anywhere. Because apparently seeing a weird gray cocoon in a public place isn't a reason for alarm. It's totally normal.
The Sleepsuit wraps your body in rings of EVA foam and can be used in any position. Four of the most likely sleeping positions including face up, face down, sideways and head down at a desk, were chosen to locate important pressure points on the body.
Ostrich Pillow
The ostrich pillow is another odd-looking pillow for some napping on the go.
If you don't mind looking like an ostrich, then this is perfect for comfortable rest if all you have is a floor or a seat on a plane.
Warning though: you will look like an alien. To learn more, visit ostrichpillow.com.
SkyRest
If you often fly or spend long hours in the car, then this is a great choice for you. SkyRest caters to the world travelers that want to enjoy a nap, free from the worry that you will be startled awake if you experience some turbulence or hit a bump in the road.
The SkyRest inflatable airplane travel sleep pillow fits perfectly on an airline seat tray. The only problem you may face is the jealousy of your fellow flyers.
Selk'bag
The Selk'bag was inspired by the lost Selk'nam natives of Tierra del Fuego, Chile. The Selk'nam (meaning “men”) were nomads who lived in Chile’s sweltering extreme, previously known as the Land of Smoke and now the Land of Fire, or Tierra del Fuego.
The foundation and concept for the image of the Selk'bag is the disappeared Selk'nam tribe's resistance to the most adverse weather conditions. According to selkbagusa.com, the creators hope that by learning about the Selk'bag, consumers will ultimately learn about the Selk'nam culture and "the work done to recover their contribution to our heritage as Americans, Chileans and humans."
A Selk'bag is a wearable, human-shaped sleeping bag meant for camping. Perhaps not the best for napping on the go on a college campus, but if you're interested in being able to walk in your sleeping bag, Selk'bag is definitely for you.Now that you've finished reading, I'd say it's time for a nap!
