We've all been there before, you have a week so stressful you consider dropping out of college, becoming a stripper, and never looking back. Yet here we are, still in school and still stressing over exams, homework, papers, and more. How do you get past all the stress that a semester throws at you? Each person has their own way, but there are somethings that can help just about anyone.
1. Take a break
I know it is tough, especially when you want to get done, but if you want good work sometimes a break is a necessity.
2. Sleep
No one works well without enough sleep; make you and your brain happy, sleep! Odds are you are short on it already.
3. Eat
Food is good, but when you are stressed out sometimes a whole carton of ice cream will have its charm. There is no shame in eating a whole carton of ice cream, a dozen donuts, or your entire fridge, whatever it takes to get past the work.
4. Play with an animal
Animals are magical creatures that can make even the worst of days do a complete flip. I don't know how they do it, but the soothing presence of an animal, who has seemingly no worries, just makes life simpler.
5. Watch a movie
A good movie is a good movie regardless of mood. So pop in your favorite movie and enjoy it like you always do.
6. Talk with friends
Friends are great. Sometimes they alleviate stress without even doing anything and just talking to them about anything and everything can make the world seem like a better place.
7. Do something you like
Everyone has a hobby that they like to do when they are bored, so why not do it when you are stressed? Maybe it is one of the above or something else, but doing something that makes you happy is always great.
8. Go out
Staying in the library or your room just to study or write your paper isn't going to work for hours on end. Go outside and get some fresh air. It doesn't have to be for hours, sometimes just five minutes away from what you are doing can help you get back on track.
9. Listen to your favorite song
Just listen to it, and keep playing it over and over again until you are singing out and creating your own little music video. A simple little thing, but it can be really fun.
10. Relax
Sound impossible, right? Probably the hardest thing to do when you are stressed is relax, but if you can find a way it makes everything so much easier.
