Last Sunday, Omar Mateen reeked havoc in an Orlando gay nightclub, murdering 49 people, and severely injuring many others. The massacre is the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. During the battle against Islamic terrorism, the world has morned over numerous attacks from the recent shootings in Tel Aviv, Brussels, France, and UCLA. As the world coped with horrific nightmares, many world monuments expressed their solidarity for the victims, and to support the rest of the LGBTQ community. Tributes took on many different forms from vigils, lighting up world renowned landmarks in rainbow colors, song, and artist and athletic events simply taking time out of their event to honor victims.

1. Eiffel Tower, Paris France

The world renowned Eiffel Tower was decorated in rainbow colors to give tribute to the victims.

2. Empire State Building/World Trade Center, New York City

After lighting up in rainbow colors after same sex marriage passed, the Empire State Building drew dim in solidarity for the Orlando victims, while the World Trade Center lit up in rainbow colors in support of them.

3. TD The Garden, Boston, MASS

Boston has been a victim of Islamic Terrorism, and the city stands in solidarity with Orlando.

4. MICHAEL FOWLER CENTRE Wellington, New Zealand


The famous concert hall and convention centre in Wellington, New Zealand lit up in rainbow colors to support the Orlando victims and the LGBT community.

5. Tel Aviv City Hall



After suffering from a mass shooting a week prior, Israel did not hesitant to show support for the U.S. and the Orlando victims.

6. Lady Gaga and the Los Angeles Vigil

After holding their annual gay pride just hours after the attack, there was a vigil in Los Angeles intended to specifically honor the victims. Thousands of people showed up to give their condolences and support. Their was a lot of media present, and many public figures whom have strongly supported the LGBT community were there in attendance. Out of all the celebrities who spoke about the tragic events in Orlando, Lady Gaga's speech gave an empathetic impact as she read off the names of the victims.


7. Adele dedicates concert to Orlando victims.

Adele broke down in tears on Sunday night when she paid tribute to the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando during her concert in Belgium.
