I'd like to think that I'm the quite a decisive person. But when it comes to doing things I'm supposed to do, I tend to have two thoughts. The first is, should I do it now? And the second is, can I wait until tomorrow to do it? The second thought usually wins, and I go back to my laziness. But it's not easy being lazy. Sometimes I'm even too lazy to be lazy. How could that be possible, you may ask. It happens, trust me. Especially now that I'm in college. Laziness is one of those things we do without really thinking about it. Need more examples? I'll show you through some scenarios, and you will be quick to realize that you relate to them.
1. Hitting Snooze When your Alarm Goes Off
We hit the snooze and just ask for five more minutes when we really know it means another hour. In our minds, we know there is a slight chance that we will wake up, but sleep sounds so much better. Being in bed suddenly is God's gift to the world. But considering snooze exist,s we also set more alarms close to each other to wake us up. In the end, we eventually get the nerve to get up, but it's a lot harder.
2. When You Have to Prepare the Food You Want to Eat
The struggle is too real! Especially when we look at our pantry and it's full, but we are too lazy to prepare food. Or even sometimes back home, I would walk over to my fridge and just stare at it thinking something would occur to me. Snacks are the best thing in this type of situation, because we can just pull it out of the pantry and go off to do nonsense. Even the shortest distance is still far enough. To make food or not make food is the question.
3. When a Friend Asks You to Go Out but You Come Up With an Excuse Not to Socialize.
If you go out, that means having to put in effort to look nice and talking to people. That isn't fun when you are trying to follow the laziness rules. Sometimes when I'm lazy all I want to do is stay in my pajamas and Netflix and chill all by myself. Then we go to complain that we need to get a social life, yet every single opportunity comes. Staying in bed sounds better.
4. Realizing There Is Always Tomorrow, So You Go to Sleep
Sleep is so comforting, and during the week there is so much going on. The weekend we get to really sleep all we want. There is always tomorrow to finish what we have to do, hopefully. In sleep, we don't have to think of things that we have to do, and we get to relax. I mean, we can't even focus much all day, so sleep will make the day go by. As college students we are very sleep-deprived, so the times we get to sleep is heaven. Things will get done eventually right?
