Pretty much everyone has seen a horse in their life, whether in person, or TV, or on the Internet. Anyone who has seen them know what awesome and useful creatures they are. They've impacted our lives in such a monumental way and without them our lives would be very different.
Back in the day, we relied on them heavily for our day-to-day activities. Before cars were made we needed them to help get us where we had to go. We also used them to help us work by plowing fields and hauling things; a horse was a lot stronger than a regular person and could do a lot more work faster. Back in the Old West cowboys and rancher used them to help here up their cattle and move them from one place to the other. Horses were very important to them and were the backbone of their livelihood.
Today,her don't use horses for the same reasons. Some people still use them to move cattle and plow their fields, but today's horses are more for show. There are competitions to show off how nice your horse looks and what all the can do. There are also rodeos where people use horses in activities like barrel riding and cattle roping.
Horses are beautiful animals that have influenced our lives in such a positive way. These animals are my favorite and I really love everything about them. There's an important bond between a horse an its owner that I hope to have one day.
