One of the greatest things about fall is Halloween.
Who doesn't love getting dressed up in ridiculous costumes and acting entirely insane for one night? Of course, there are a few problems: coming up with an idea and then planning the actual outfit. Every year, I struggle to figure out something witty and creative and then attempt to pull it off. In hopes of not waiting until the last minute, I decided to compile a list perfect for every type of girl gang.
1. "Mean Girls"-inspired costumes.
GiphyYeah, yeah this idea might be a cliche, but it is a cliche for a reason. Grab your closest three friends and pull off the four iconic characters created by the comedic genius Tina Fey. These characters were practically mean for Halloween whether you go with their Halloween costumes of the classic "On Wednesday we wear pink" concept. You can't go wrong.
2. Taylor Swift throughout the years.
Although I was generally unimpressed by Taylor Swift's music video for Look What You Made Me Do, I did think the last part with all the Taylors was hilarious. Say what you want about T-Swift, but her music videos are always amazing. I challenge you to get your girls together and recreate some of her most iconic looks.
3. The Spice Girls.
GiphyIf you have not sung and dance to "Wanna Be" by the Spice Girls, then you have not lived. Forget the iconic song; the costumes are the perfect idea for Halloween. Get five friends together and pick which Spice Girl you want to be.
4. The Three Little Pigs.

For some reason, our current society has made it an unspoken rule that women need to sexualize every costume they wear. Think about it: sexy nurse, sexy maid, sexy bunny. Why can't we be a plain nurse or bunny? Animal costumes have also become extremely popular, so if you want to venture down that road, how about The Three Little Pigs?
And while we are on the subject of animals...

Frankly, I think this is a great idea. You can take Karen's iconic costume from Mean Girls and update it to be your own. Grab some glasses, ears, black tights, a top, and you're all set. Maybe add a walking stick if you're feeling really creative.
6. Cher, Dionne, and Tai.
This idea is a personal favorite of mine. In fact, this was a costume for some friends and me during high school, so of course, it made this list. "Clueless" is without a doubt one of the greatest movies. Grab your friends and recreate the iconic trio full of plaid skirts and knee-high socks. Also, plaid is making a major comeback right now. Halloween couldn't come at a more perfect time. "As if" this would not make the list.
7. The Ladies from "Ocean's 8."
This summer had some fantastic movies, and with great movies come great Halloween Costumes. Coming up with a killer Halloween costume is just like pulling off a heist right? Why not combine the two into this type of costume.
8. The Pink Ladies.
How could these girls not make this Halloween list? They are the original mean girls. Personally, my favorite is Frenchy, with or without pink hair - I will leave that to you. If you are struggling to come up with a costume, I encourage this concept but be careful listening to the music beforehand, because I guarantee you it will get stuck in your head.
9. Charlie's Angels.
GiphyHalloween is supposed to be a time to dress and do something fun. I say dressing up as these badass women would be pretty fun. This costume is also perfect because the reboot will be premiering next year featuring Hollywood's newest heartthrob, Noah Centineo. Why not get a jump on this costume before everyone else?
Regardless of the costume you and your friends decide to pull off this year, as long as you're with your squad, it will be a success. Happy Halloween!
