Of course, at times it was a little difficult being the only girl of siblings, but to be the only girl and the middle child is even worse. I quickly learned to adjust to my brothers’ form of playing when we were younger; wrestling. As a sister to two brothers, the only way to play with them was to be like them. So I was a physical kid growing up. I was always interested in having a one-on-one basketball game with Christopher, playing with dinosaurs and legos with Matthew, and yes, wrestling.
I may not have ever won because my scrawny arms were no match for Matthew, but the memories we made were priceless. Just because I played more masculine games with masculine toys, doesn't mean I didn't force them to play more feminine games.
I've always been told that your mom and grandma are your best friends, and while that's true, my brothers are and always will be my besties too!We have had those times when we had each other’s back during those times when we did something we weren’t supposed to, (nothing too bad though) and kept our little secret between us.
Most importantly, they've always supported me in ways I never imagined. Matthew has become the protective older brother and is cautious and leary of every guy I meet. As for Christopher... well, he's the goofball of the family. He makes me laugh every single day. On days when I’m stressed, upset or not feeling well, Christopher always finds a way to make my day brighter.
In all honesty, I could not picture my life without my brothers. I may have hoped to someday have a sister, but my brothers have shaped me to become responsible, caring, and wise.
