Good Vibrations: The Make Or Break Factor
My Greek Review

We all have some really good days and some really bad days. But, what makes these days good or bad? Is it the events, our mindsets, the people we surround ourselves with? To me, all of those contribute to how my day goes, but lately, I have been repeating one phrase over and over to my friends and myself. “Good vibrations only”. You may have heard of good vibes, it’s the same thing. After viewing every action as a contributing factor to either a good or bad vibration, my overall well-being and relationships have improved dramatically.

So what exactly does ‘good vibrations’ mean? Everything is energy. Every time you think a thought, you send out a literal vibration. Melody Fletcher says, "Everything we can see, hear, touch, taste and smell is made of different wavelengths vibrating at different frequencies." The more positive thoughts you have, the more stable and higher your wavelength frequency will be. The same goes for negative thoughts. The only way for energy to increase orbits is to have higher frequency wavelengths. In other words, if you feel like your life isn’t where it should be and you aren’t as happy as much as you would like to be, think about it.

Why aren’t you happy? Maybe you compare yourself to others and bring yourself down. The solution to this is to focus on yourself first; view those who are more successful as being in a different orbital that you are capable of getting to if you improve yourself first. Or maybe you aren’t happy because the people you surround yourself with are negative. If you practice controlling your thoughts and try to send out as many good vibrations as you can, it will catch on to others. Not only will your good vibrations spread and influence others, but it will also allow your overall happiness to become more stable. I am not saying that you won’t face obstacles, life is all about ups and downs. Good vibrations allow for you to focus on the good around you, gives you energy, and creates a more stable and happy atmosphere for yourself and those closest to you. Those sending out bad vibrations can either repel or accept good vibrations. And vice-versa. Just your thoughts can change a whole room of people.

We are all well aware of what is considered ‘good’ and ‘bad’. You have to genuinely mean what you are thinking or saying. We have the ability to control our thoughts. Melody Fletcher also says that "If you think predominantly positive thoughts, your overall vibration is going to be higher than if you think predominantly negative thoughts."

We can change our energies at any time. Our natural state is a high vibration, it is what happens to us and how we react throughout our lives that change our vibrations. So today, start changing your vibrations and become the person you are meant to be. Gain confidence, power, and overall good feelings. Keeping a positive attitude about everything that has been thrown your way is very difficult. But if you consistently go about everything with a positive attitude and don’t let other people get you down and repeat “good vibrations”, it will become a habit. But we’ll talk more about habits in the next article. Just remember, if you are surrounded by negativity, acknowledge the bad vibes, find the positivity, send out the good vibes and change the world one vibration at a time.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
