The Golden State Warriors: The Start Of An NBA Dynasty

The Golden State Warriors are fresh off their first NBA championship ever since 1975. They were the best team in the NBA in the regular season. Not to mention that they play in the Western Conference, which is loaded with talented teams. Led by Coach Steve Kerr in his first year, the Warriors won 60+ games and transitioned into the playoffs by playing great basketball. The front office of the Warriors have done a great job putting together a team that is stacked with young, humble talent that wants to win and win a lot. It may be early to give them a tag of being a "dynasty team" in the next few years, but they have the right pieces in place and great foundation to continue winning.

The Warriors may have the best shooter to ever play the game, Stephen Curry. Accompanied by Klay Thompson, the two are automatic. They find the open shot and "open" is a different term to them because they can shoot and make it consistently, when someone is playing good enough defense on them. These two players are the leaders of the team. Curry has proven to be a great basketball player who is capable of anything. He is the best shooter in the league, arguably the best dribbler in the NBA, and can pass and drive to the hoop with ease. He is young, which makes him even more deadly. He will have a very good and successful career that I think will have many final runs that will end with putting a ring on his finger. He keeps getting better and better each year, which is scary!

The Warriors have a built a solid group of players that are around Curry, Thompson, Green, Iguodala, Barnes, Bogut, Ezeli etc. All these players could start and be very good on another team but they all want to stay because they play well together. This is a good start to a team that just won a championship. When you have a team that enjoys playing with each other and understanding that team ball is the way to play, it is good sign to the fans and front office of the Warriors.

I don't want to compare them to the Spurs yet, but I see how these teams are very similar. When they are on, they are almost unstoppable. For instance, the Warriors at times would get in a hole in the Finals, but once they got the ball moving and everyone involved, they were unstoppable on offense. On defense they played lights out, they just out worked everyone on the Cavaliers on the end of the court. Great defense will create great offense. They ALL understand that, which resulted in wins. This relates to how the Spurs are when they get their offense going, its hard to stop. Ball movement is very important in the NBA because it is so spread out. These two teams have embodied that play rather then having the ball stick. To run this type of system, you have to have a unselfish team which the Spurs and Warriors are. That is hard to come by in the NBA or in any league in basketball.

The supporting cast of the Warriors is the best in the NBA. When Curry was not playing well, the supporting cast picked up the slack and played amazingly. That is so important, especially in the finals. If you look at every single NBA team that has won, when their specific go to player wasn't performing well or was out of the game, the supporting cast always came through and won games for teams. This team did that and exceeded that. They were the it factor. Iguodola, the finals MVP played great on defense which lead to great offense. Draymond didn't play well in their two losses against the Cavs in the finals, but when he stopped complaining to the refs so much and just played, he was one of the best players on the court. Green has a winning mentality in his blood that is hard to find in the NBA. He wants it badder then any player on the court, which separates him from the rest. These are just two of the players that were playing great. Almost everyone that played, played like a champion.

The Warriors have the make-up to be a dynasty. They are young, humble, and play team ball which is the winning way. Their front office has done a great job in building a winning team. You can't do that in one year, every year you have to add someone that you think is going to benefit the team and develop into a great player in the future. They also added Coach Steve Kerr who has won many championships as a player when he was with the Bulls and Spurs. He knows what it takes to win a championship, and he knows how to win multiple championships with a team, which is great reason to think that the Warriors will be a dynasty team. So to everyone that is a Warriors fan, embrace the future, it is extremely bright.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
