Trump is Our President, Whether You Like it or Not.

On November 8th, 2016 Donald J. Trump became the next President of the United States. There are people who are extremely upset that Trump is the soon to be leader of America, and there are people who are extremely happy that Secretary Clinton is not our next President. However, since the presidential election has ended I have personally seen articles and videos all over social media about how Trump is not my president. We live in a hate-filled world and its time for that to change, but all I see when I go on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and even Snapchat is hate.

Hateful comments because their are people who are personally offended that Clinton didn't win the election Tuesday night. Life isn't fair and will probably never be fair, but life is easier when we, as a country, are unified. One of the issues is that there is so much division in America that it's sad and most times painful to watch the news because there is no unity in America anymore. There is division amongst race, religion, sexual identity, etc. There needs to be a change but for that to happen the hate and hostility towards each other it needs to stop, permanently. Our country is perfect but if we continue down the path that us Americans are currently on, then we will end up destroying a country that generations of Americans spent decades and centuries to build. Do we really need to destroy our home to stop the hate?

The majority of America voted to put Trump in office for their own reasons, and I think one of them is because Trump can't be bought. He has money and therefore does not need more when he is worth about 3.7 billion dollars. I've seen so many hateful posts all over social media and about how many Americans are going to move to Canada because they don't want Donald Trump as their President. I say if you want to move then do it, but don't do it because you dislike the next president.

That move alone is extremely petty and doesn't help to unify this country because your feelings got hurt or that this election has traumatized you and now you need a safe place to go. Before this election even took place back when it was determining who would be the Republican and Democratic Representatives, there were college aged people who needed a safe place because the words 'Trump for President' were written on the sidewalks. You don't have to like our next President but Trump will be in office for the next four years, possibly eight if he decides to run again for the presidency in the next election.

However, despite all that as a Christian I have faith that Trump will do good things for this country and make us a united country again, instead of us being a divided country. I feel like everyone during this time, especially Christians, have forgotten that Jesus is King. And no matter who is in office GOD put them into that position of power for a reason. In Romans 13 it says, 'Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.

For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resist the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.' This passage speaks for itself. God gave them, in this case, Trump, authority as our next ELECTED PRESIDENT. You just need to have faith that God will have is will done and that it will benefit us all believers and nonbelievers.

So if you're a follower of Christ then have faith and trust in God no matter how hard it is that His plans for America will be completed by using our elected representatives.

Everyone, no matter your race, religion, or how you sexually identify, needs to stop the hate in this country. The rioting and protesting need to stop and as a UNITED country we need to show support for the President. I don't know what the future holds for America but I have faith that God will do good things for this country by using Donald J. Trump.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
