You don't know how loved you are. You look in the mirror and you see flaw after reckless flaw. You believe that you are worthless, that no one has ever loved you and that no one will ever support you. I'm here to tell you how loved you are.
I want you to look at yourself and notice the plain fact that you are breathing. Notice that your beautiful soul is alive and that you are on this planet. Notice the way your legs move, giving you strength to get to the places you want to go. Notice the way your hands reach out to others, the way you hold the children in your life in your arms. The way your eyes light up with inspiration and joy.
But I want to more importantly to notice your voice. Your voice is your most precious instrument, your most violent weapon. Your voice is the most beautiful thing about you. The way it brings about beautiful ideas and beautiful thoughts. It shares your wonderful opinion, your strong intuition.
However, you have lost your voice. You have lost it under years of people not believing in you. Years of people leaving you and hurting you and telling you that you are unworthy. And suddenly other people's words become your own.
The song of ugly, useless, worthless plays in your head. The thought that no one has ever loved me and no one will ever love me forces you to accept things you don't deserve. It forces you to want suffering and pain. It makes you feel the need to accept toxicity into your life.
But my dear, you are not worthless. You are loved beyond measure. You are loved regardless of your past and regardless of your hurt. You are loved beyond your mistakes. You are so loved and I will never stop fighting to show you how loved you are.
I will never stop fighting to show you the beauty in your voice and the ideas you spill out. I will never tell you that you are wrong or that you are unworthy. You need to know how unimaginably vital you are to this planet. How vital you are to the people in your life.
Your beauty is not skin deep; your beauty is measured beneath that. Your talents exceed that of which your mind tells you. Your worth exceeds that in which you believe. You are so much more than you have ever given yourself credit for. You are more than the battles you have faced and the wars you have lost. You are a soul capable of beautiful, pure things. Please believe it.
You are worthy of true love and you are more beautiful than you will ever know.
