To The Girl Who Can't Get Over A Toxic Guy, It's Time To Put Yourself First

In This Article:

It's sad there are so many toxic guys are there. So many.

I had a guy try to say all the right things and take advantage of me just to use me.

He still makes himself present in my life just so that way I can't get over him.

So I'm typing this article as a reminder for myself, and any other girl who can't get over that one P.O.S. guy, that we deserve more and he is NOT worth our time. Why? Because...

He knows he can hurt you and he will do it again.

If he knows that you will always be there to take him back, he will do and say whatever he wants. He won't be the boy you deserve. You won't be a priority. He will do really really low things and not have to worry about consequences if you are always there to take him back. Make him know that you know you're worth and you don't need to put up with his sh*t.

"He says he misses me but won't act upon it," then he doesn't miss you enough.

"I miss you but I'm just not in the mental state to be in a relationship."

Then leave me alone.

Make him miss you. Make him want something with you and treat you like the queen you are.

If he wants you and only you, he will show you.

If he wants you he will prove it to you every day. He will be more than happy to remind you every day how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you.

Mature men are not toxic.

If he is mature he won't treat you bad. He will be everything you've ever wanted. He will be fully aware of your worth. A mature man will never go a day knowing that you're upset (at him or something else) without trying to say or do something to make you feel better. A mature man will love you for all your perfections and imperfections. He will love you for you.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
