As we all know, there were a lot of upsets this weekend. March Madness is the time of the year for not only some fun, but for all of those people who filled out brackets to get a little angry. The big thing about March Madness is that it actually is madness. Everything is up in the air and all it takes is one bad game for your favorite team to be eliminated. With favorites falling to the underdogs, there were many unanticipated outcomes. So, now that some of the favorites are gone and your bracket is a bit messy, what do you do?
1. Root for the biggest underdog remaining.
Considering there are a few low-seeded teams that are still alive, there is a possibility they could come out strong. One double-digit team remains and seven of the Sweet 16 teams are a number five seed or above.
2. Hope that your national champion still becomes such.
Most people have chosen a top seed to win it all. Between Kentucky, Wisconsin or Duke, with all still alive, there is hope for your pride to remain intact.
3. Find a round-by-round bracket contest.
There is a second chance for everything.
4. Root against everyone else in your contest pool that still has a chance.
If you aren't first, you are last. You can hope the people who are doing better than you become a little bitter by a loss, too.
5. Have a competition with your friends on who can get the worst bracket.
By now, what do you have to lose? Iowa State and Baylor lost to No. 14 seeds. Also, only 14 of the more than 11.57 million ESPN Tournament Challenge brackets got the entire Sweet 16 correct. So, basically everyone's picks were a little messed up. Might as well find out how much worse it can get.
