Five Reasons Why You Should Love Being Single

All the single ladies, all the single ladies! If Beyoncé wrote a song about being single, it's obviously amazing. Who cares if all of your friends have boyfriends or your parents are constantly questioning why you never bring a guy to family dinner? Being single is way more fun and here are the five reasons why!

1. Perfect opportunity to find out who you are.

Being single is a great opportunity to find yourself. Are you the hipster or the fashionista? Are you the nice girl or the "DO NOT MESS WITH ME!" girl. Are you fun and flirty or shy and cute? The sporty chick or the stoner? Health nut or fatty? Smart or dumb? Honest or fake? What are you interested in? What do you want to do with your life? WHO ARE YOU!?

These are the questions you need to ask yourself while being alone. Ladies, you can't love someone unless you love yourself first. That means you need to know exactly who you are.

2. Way more free time!

Having a boyfriend can be fun and all, but they seriously tie you down. Not having a relationship gives you plenty of time to focus on schoolwork, friends, family, or maybe even pick up a new hobby or two. If you take away anything from this article...no boyfriend = no problem.

3. No commitments.

Sometimes your boyfriend can be seriously crazy. Maybe he doesn't want you to go out to parties or drink or even restricts you from hanging out with your guy friends. First of all, if this is happening, dump him ASAP. Second, after you dump him or if you are currently single, this means time for some frican fun. If you want to make out with a random guy at a party, you go Glen Coco!

4. No heartbreaks.

The first cut is the deepest. (Yes, I did just quote Sheryl Crow.) Getting your heart broken hurts like a b*tch. But, how can someone break your heart if you don't have a boyfriend? Sounds so simple...

5. Single people have more fun.

Single people are more social. They don't have to pick between their friends and their boyfriends. They also don't have to compromise their priorities. You can pretty much do whatever and whoever you want!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
