This holiday season there is an amazing amount of movies coming out and I, your trusty movie researcher, have compiled a list of movies for you and your friends and family to see.

1. "Moana"

"Moana" is a new Disney-Pixar animation movie coming out this Thanksgiving, featuring Disney's first Polynesian princess Moana and comedic demigod Maui played by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. With music by "Hamilton'"s own Lin-Manuel Miranda will sure be a blast this season! (Nov 23).

2. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"

As promised after the last "Star Wars" release, "Rogue One" will surely not disappoint. A group of resistance fighters planing to steal the death star plans. (Dec. 16)

3. "The Space Between Us"

Imagine Romeo and Juliet but between Mars and Earth. Gardner Elliot is the first child born on Mars. Once he reaches the age of 16, he becomes curious about planet Earth. He's torn between home and his heart as he finds love but struggles to leave home (Dec 16.)

4. "Sing"

Animals living in a world like ours: a koala who's trying to keep his theater afloat has to raise money by holding a singing competition. (Dec 21)

5. "A Monster Calls"

This movie follows Conor who's trying to deal with both his mother's illness and bullying by escaping to a world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, love, and faith. (Dec. 23)
