Chance The Rapper, 22, is must-watch up-and-coming artist who premiered his new song “Angels” on Stephen Colbert’s late night show. The performance was absolutely incredible, and gave fans hope for Chance The Rapper’s next project.
Chance The Rapper is widely known for his sophomore mix tape "Acid Rap" which was released in 2013 as a free download. Since then he has gained a large following, and has been involved with The Social Experiment, a collaboration of musicians. The Social Experiment recently debut their first album entitled "Surf" which included features of various artists. Although "Surf" was a good album and The Social Experiment had released a few demos exclusively featuring Chance, many listeners were still waiting for the “next” equivalent "Acid Rap."
Chance’s performance on Colbert’s show is definitely something to be talked about, as it is possibly a “sneak peek” for the rapper’s junior mix tape. “Angels” was everything that we’ve all been waiting for from Chance; that same oddly satisfying nasally voice and of course clever lyrics-no, poetry- to match. Saba also joined Chance The Rapper on stage with choreographed dance moves that perpetuated the overall energy of the performance.
It’s safe to say that “Angels” has everyone pumped for what’s next with Chance The Rapper. Download “Angels” on iTunes for free.
