CAUTION: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK OF SPOILING A "MARVEL"-OUS CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE.
Marvel's newest hit, "Captain America: Civil War" was released on May 6, 2016, and is already busting blocks the world over. However, those records are minuscule compared to the sheer amount of epic superhero versus superhero showdowns in the film. Iron Man vs. Cap, Hawkeye vs. Black Widow, Vision vs. Falcon. This movie has all of that and more; the emotional roller coaster is more than worth your money. Like one of Stark's flying punches against Captain America's vibranium frisbee, this film is surely going to be one of the biggest hits of the summer.
Like the comics, this movie gets under way with the unfolding of a tragedy - one that only piles up on those that had already happened: New York, Washington D.C. and Sokovia. What ensues from there? A movie so hugely complex that it can only be described as a third Avengers movie.
Jam-packed with a variety of layers, "Civil War" paves the way for an even bigger cinematic universe for Marvel. The movie has been described in many ways; an emotional horror story, a psychologically exhausting work, and the best Marvel movie to date. None of these appellations disappoint - the movie lives up to its name on every level it possesses.
This superhuman brawl is everything that "Dawn of Justice" tried to be, and this one worked. The very start of the movie already has audiences emotional and excited, and the entire movie keeps you on your seat for the full two and a half hours. The punch-to-the-face followed by a punch-to-the-ego method of humor Marvel so eloquently succeeds in using is as big of a hit as those Paul Rudd's Giant-Man lays during the best scene of the film at the Leipsig airport. It is a fun, frightening, and all around phenomenal film for audiences of all ages.
If you haven't already, head to your local theater and see the most recent epic Marvel has released. You will not be disappointed.
