As the months progress, summer-lovers can kiss their vibrant tank tops and shorts goodbye and trade them in for earth-toned layering pieces. While the wearing white after Labor Day rule may be a thing of the past. First things first, fall essential colors consist of: Olive greens, taupes, burnt orange, burgundy, grays, and navy blues.

1. Distressed Denim

Whether it be pairing a light sweater with some ripped jeans or transitioning a cute summer tank with a distressed denim jacket, you can't go wrong with both of these articles of clothing adorning your closet walls.

2. Boots & Booties Galore

Any color- you name it you can find a boot in it. With so many options from riding boots to booties to rain boots, and L.L. Bean boots; there's something out there for everyone. In the dead of January down South and the rain no longer feels like bath water- cute Hunter rain boots with a rain jacket is a match made in heaven. Who doesn't love a pair of versitile riding boots, too? They can be paired with jeans, leggings, dresses, skirts to complete a perfect fall outfit.

3. Dark Lipstick & Nail Polish

As the days get chillier, trade in your white and baby pink nails for a pair of coffin-shaped burgundy talons. Same goes for lipstick- a mauve-nude is great for daytime wear, but as the sun goes down, trade it in for a dark burgundry, brown, or purple. Makeup is branching out, so no color is deemed "too dark" nowadays.

5. Layers, Layers, Layers

Layering is an essential part of fall fashion to begin with. Your wardrobe isn't complete with the necessities A.K.A. 1.) A neautral-vest. For the most wearability; black and navy blue are recommended, or if you're a fall-junkie- a herringbone printed vest is a no-brainer. 2.) New to the game is.. Ponchos! No, not rain ponchos you wear on Made of the Mist at Niagra Falls but fashionable ponchos that also serve as blankets for chilly days. 3.) Scarves are an easy way to accessorize, keep warm, and complete an outfit. A plain sweater paired with any printed scarf can effortlessly dress-up your bland ensamble. 4.) Flannels are a go-to for cozying up to a bonfire after a Friday night football game.

6. Leggings (Baaassssiccc)

Yes, we're going there. We're those basic white girls toting around our Starbucks patiently waiting for UGG season saying "like" in between every word. Wanna be lazy but still comfy-cute? Your answer: Leggings. Every girl needs a basic pair of black leggings to pair with (I kid you not) E V E R Y T H I N G.

7. Smoky Shadows

Daytime or night time- both matte and shimmery neutral shadows are a must. Do yourself a favor and go hit up your nearest Ulta, Target or Sephora and pick out your favorite, versitile palette with both light, daytime shadows but also darker shadows so you can create the perfect smokey eye when need-be. Hint hint: bonus points if you fleek your eyeliner, too.

BONUS: Bath & Body Works Fragrances

Again with the basic-ness (sorry, not sorry y'all), but everyone's gotta hit up good old Bath & Body Works for their fall fragranced lotions and hand sanitizers. Not makeup or beauty related though- their candles are on point every season, but especially fall.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
